The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced Thursday the League’s new Vision Statement focused on the League’s placement in the hockey world as a top stop in the development model for junior hockey.

The United States Hockey League and its member clubs are committed to being the leading amateur athlete development league in the world. The USHL aspires to develop elite players, students, coaches, referees, hockey staff and business personnel, helping them become the best players, professionals and people they can be. The USHL is committed to being a leader in the hockey world and in the communities in which its member teams reside.

“The USHL is excited to roll-out an updated and brand-new vision and value statement for the entire League as well as taglines that will help better identify our League and Member Clubs,” said USHL President and Commissioner Bill Robertson. “The 2022-23 season should be a banner year for the USHL as the top Tier I junior hockey league in North America.”

The new Vision Statement is headlined by the new social media tagline of #StarsRise and includes an updated “Our Stars Rise” tagline. The updated branding was formulated through a group of USHL owners and league staff including Robertson, USHL Deputy Commissioner Denny Scanlon, Muskegon Lumberjacks Owner Dan Israel and Sioux Falls Stampede Managing Partner Brian Schoenborn.

The USHL’s new branding updates the League’s status based on its success both on-ice and from a business perspective over the last decade. The USHL has been the leader among production at the NHL Draft for years, including five-straight NHL Drafts with 50-or-more selections. The USHL tied its record with 57 selections at the 2022 NHL Draft and, for the 19th-straight season and 24th time since 1989, had an alumnus win the Stanley Cup. USHL alumni were part of the Stanley Cup (NHL), Calder Cup (AHL) and Kelly Cup (ECHL) Championship rosters. Additionally, the USHL sees more than 800 of its alumni playing NCAA Division I hockey each season.
