USHL announces 23-man protected and affiliate lists

The USHL announced its 23-man protected and affiliate lists for its 17 member clubs.

The United States Hockey League announced today the 23-man protected lists and affiliate lists for its member clubs. The lists indicate final rosters as all roster moves starting September 23rd will count towards annual roster moves limit.

Over 20 NHL Draft picks and 260 NCAA committed players are featured on the league-wide 23-man protected lists. Seven USHL teams will have a NHL prospect in net including the Chicago Steel (Daniel Vladar – Boston Bruins), Green Bay Gamblers (Adam Huska – New York Rangers), Madison Capitols (Garrett Metcalf – Anaheim Ducks), Muskegon Lumberjacks (Joey Daccord – Ottawa Senators), Omaha Lancers (Kris Oldham – Tampa Bay Lighting), Sioux Falls Stampede (Ales Stezka – Minnesota Wild) and Youngstown Phantoms (Ryan Bednard – Florida Panthers).

 

Six USHL teams are returning 10 or more players including the Bloomington Thunder (14), Madison Capitols (12), Dubuque Fighting Saints (11), Green Bay Gamblers (11), Lincoln Stars (10) and Youngstown Phantoms (10).

 

USHL regular season begins September 25th and the final day for teams to add free agent non-affiliate players playing in high school or midget is December 31st. For other notable Hockey Operations deadlines, click HERE.
