USHL Players and Alumni Participating in 2018 NHL Scouting Combine

PLAYERS WILL PARTICIPATE IN FITNESS TESTING AND ONE-ON-ONE INTERVIEWS WITH NHL TEAMS AHEAD OF 2018 NHL DRAFT.

25 USHL players and 5 USHL alumni are participating in the 2018 NHL Scouting Combine in Buffalo, NY ahead of the 2018 NHL Draft in Dallas, TX. 

 

According to the NHL, the event consists of player interviews, medical assessments and a series of physical fitness tests. All 31 NHL Clubs have the opportunity to conduct individual interviews with players in preparation for the 2018 NHL Draft.

 

USHL players participating in the 2018 NHL Scouting Combine include top NHL Central Scouting ranked players such as Oliver Wahlstrom (Team USA), Joel Farabee (Team USA), Bode Wilde (Team USA) and Sampo Ranta (Sioux City Musketeers), along with alumni Andrei Svechnikov (Muskegon Lumberjacks), Brady Tkachuk (Team USA) and Quinn Hughes (Team USA).

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the USHL celebrated its 16th season as the nation's only Tier I junior hockey league in 2017-18. 30 or more players from the USHL have been selected in five consecutive NHL Drafts, and more than 400 players on team rosters last season committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the USHL as the world’s foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
